San Clemente Pier
San Clemente is regarded as "the Spanish Village by the Sea", due to the enduring ambiance originally created by its founder. Ideally located between Los Angeles and San Diego, San Clemente offers Southern California living at its finest. With world-class beaches, over three hundred days a year of sunshine, and a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities, makes this an ideal place to call home. The downtown and many of the buildings have a magnificent Mediterranean style, with Spanish tile roofs and clean white stucco contrasting against the rich blue of the sky and Pacific Ocean. When the town was created in 1925, it was meant to be reminiscent of the Greek Isles. Today, it still maintains this clean, warm ambiance of a world-class beach town. Additionally, it is one of the few towns within Orange County to lie on a pristine stretch of Pacific coastline. San Clemente is perhaps most well known for its pristine coastline, amazing beaches, and world-renowned surf breaks. The city enjoys a rich tradition of surfing legends, and is today the headquarters for a number of surfing industries. One of the most well known point breaks in the world is located in San Clemente. Trestles is just south of the former Nixon Western White House. A bit north of the San Onofre power plant is a haven for long boarders, called "Old Man's Beach" as a tongue-in cheek reference to long board riders. These two breaks alone are considered some of the most challenging in the world, drawing surfers from around the globe to test their skills and train for international competition. There are beach bungalows, classic California residences, new construction in Talega that offer views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean and golf courses, and multi-million dollar mansions. Living Ocean close in an ideal climate makes San Clemente a sought after community that has a lifestyle for everyone.
